I was supposed to be a Mexican, then came Manifest Destiny and I became Mexican American, then came the Census Bureau and I became Hispanic, then came that white woman and I became a spic, then came that one Ethnic Studies class and I became Chicano, then came Cherríe Moraga and I became Xicano. In the end, it’s just me and my unsolicited opinion.

The Doors’ ‘Waiting For The Sun’ photo shoot by Paul Ferrara, 1968. The album cover was reportedly shot in the mountains outside LA near to where Jim Morrison himself lived.
This is all I’ve been able to listen to for two weeks, the 40th Anniversary release which included the 17 minute song at the end which had never been previously released, Celebration of the Lizard. Link to that whole album here, enjoy!
